Just a reminder to all LARCS members that the AGM will be Saturday 7th August at 11.00 AM at the field.

You are also reminded that if you have not renewed your membership, that fees were due on the 1st July and therefore if you haven't renewed, you are not covered by insurance and therefore can't fly at LARCS.

We have had a number of members turn up for a day's flying, only to be told that they can't fly due to lack of insurance cover.

We don't wish or want to embarrass you.

Nomination forms for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, are available from the LARCS Canteen, form cupboard.

All financial members are invited to nominate and vote.

Completed nomination forms must be returned to the Secretary and nominations close on Friday 23rd July at 6.00pm.

You will all agree that the Membership of LARCS has swelled over the past months and thus we are not in a position to recognise all members and determine who are visitors etc. We also have the 2010/2011 club fees due to be paid by June 30 so we need to be able to determine who is financial or not.

This has promoted your Committee to have me advise you, that you may be required to produce your MAAA Licence Card if requested. Please place it in your flight box or carry it with you to facilitate this, if required. Wearing your club name badge and using the club key will also help

Don't be affronted if this happens to you, as we are noting a number of uninvited visitors using our club and we must stop this.

To help also, don't forget to lock the front gate and canteen if you are last out and please check that people left at the field are in fact members to ensure that the gate is locked when they leave. If they are visitors they should leave with you.

If the gate is left open, we find that youths are using our field at night, and apart from condoms on the ground next morning, they have not yet caused a significant issue to date, ( someones daughter maybe),but it's only a matter of time.
