I.M.A.C Comes to LARCS.
LARCS will be hosting a two day I.M.A.C Competition on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of June 2010.
What is IMAC you ask? It stands for 'International Miniature Aerobatic Club" and is a scale version of full size aerobatic aircraft competition. The name Miniature is a little misleading due to the fact that these scale models are around 2 to 3 meter wingspan and use petrol two stroke, single or twin cylinder engines.
LARCS will be hosting this competition over the two days so the field will be closed for general flying for the weekend. The Rotary wing field will be operating as normal.
For LARCS Members and interested parties, come down and have a look. You will find it fascinating.
For the IMAC pilots, best of luck in the competition and welcome to LARCS field. Just remember that LARCS Club Bylaws have a sound limit of 96dBA, as does your competition rules. We will be enforcing the sound limit to keep our neighbours happy.
Have a good Competition,
LARCS Committee.
