Sparing you all the details of the friendly banter that transpired via email between Mike Ross (LARCS) and Gregor Kruberg (TMAC), these gentlemen (cough) have managed to put together a great social event which will benefit the members of both clubs.

If you missed it, you would have heard by now what a great day it was with some superb demonstration flying. We had lolly drops and a jumping castle for the kids, and of course Santa, for the oldies

The highlight of the day, was the presentation of the three LARCS awards to the worthy recipients.

Life Member Award
This award has been presented to two people in the history of LARCS, namely Chris Gratton And David Garle in the early 2000's and is awarded for outstanding contribution to the clubs progress and history.

This year LARCS are pleased to announce, a third addition to this exclusive group in the name of David Fels. David has been our Field Maintenance Manager for a number of years and together with his team of dedicated assistants keeps our field in top condition. Congratulations David, and we hope you have recovered from the shock of it all.

Annual Clubman Award
This is the inaugural year of this annual award and is awarded to a member of LARCS, who demonstrates an unselfish desire to get involved and get things done.

The recipient this year is Des Rowe who has volunteered His and His company's time and equipment to complete some major projects within the LARCS field, which will improve our field and protect the strip from water inundation experienced in the past.

Congratulations Des. We are grateful for your help.

The Vern Crawford Annual award
This annual award has been presented for the past four years in memory of Vern (see previous News Item) The award is for a member with consistent contribution to LARCS.

The recipient this year is Patrick Ford. Patrick is one of the maintenance team and constantly provides his skill and labour to make improvements to our Canteen, Pits and storage areas.

Congratulations Patrick. We sincerely appreciate your assistance.

All three recipients have been added to the Perpetual Shield and Plaque to be placed into our clubhouse, and have received individual Plaques as a memento to these awards.
